I had a really unprofessional experience with The Heller Organization. I saw a great apartment and tried to work with Heller’s agent to view the unit.
The agent canceled on multiple scheduled viewing appointments with very little notice.
So, knowing NYC is a difficult real estate market, I went to the building to see if someone could let me in to view the unit, and the doorman showed me the place and it looked great.
I then asked for an application and the agent said she would send me an application within an hour and never did.
A few hours later, the unit was closed to applications and the agent was still asking me to apply and pay the $100 fee, even though the unit was off the market.
Of course, the company is under no obligation to be anything better than a jerk to people who are not yet their tenants, but for those looking at units in Heller buildings: beware.
