I have been through this bad experience few days back by GRE Management Services, Inc. I along with my family decided to visit a property for our living. We had heard the name of Southwood Townhomes and so we went there for selecting the house. The property manager showed us some of the flats and among them we selected a house. It had a good location with proper facilities as per the information given to us by them.
People often approach to property management companies for solving the queries of the houses. The property managers are supposed to give full information about the security deposit, the rental payments and the amenities in the house. We depend on them for the best selection of properties as per our needs and budgets. But when they cheat us by providing all wrong and false details, there should be some steps taken against them.
I paid $100 as security deposit after selecting the property. After some days, I inquired about the further procedure to be taken. I called several times the people of the property management company and its manager. I asked them about the process repeatedly through emails to the company. I didn’t get any response from emails and phone calls.
Many days passed by making inquiries of this property and so I thought to move to a new place. My family agreed with my decision of shifting to a new home. After 20 days, I asked to property manager about the earlier property for which I paid $100 as security deposit. They refused to pay back my money of security deposit which I paid at first by selecting the flat.
Thereafter I kept on asking the property management company for the reimbursement of security deposit. I called many times but they stopped replying to any calls or mails. After much efforts by me and my family, they finally got ready to pay me $100 of security deposit.
But then, again a new game was played by the property management company. They told me while returning security deposit that we have won a contest of $100. They told me that my family will be getting a gift coupon of $100. We felt happy for winning a contest of amount equal to security deposit.
After 20 days, I asked the property manager about the gift coupon. He falsely convinced me that they will find out the matter. I waited for additional few days for their reply. There were almost another 20 days after which I asked about my money but no gift coupon or any sort of gift money existed.
I neither got my security deposit nor any gift coupon. These property management companies do a lot of scam with innocent people. They take undue benefits of their money and situations. These companies steal the pockets of a common man by showing all fake advertisements of their properties.
The sole intention of these companies are to cheat people. Take care while dealing with them!! They will deceive you in the name of gift coupons and security deposits.
