Opcity

Opcity - Bait and Switch

Opcity was a total bait and switch. Not only did they continue to overcharge us for leads that were never contacted, but they took our database and instead of finding deals they burned through our leads and destroyed our pipelines with crappy scripts and aggressive calling that just made our prospects angry.

  1. Harassment.

They harass realtors and lie to them to force us to sign on… calling and emailing non stop… saying things like “your broker expects you to sign on with us already.” very rude and insecure. I check with my broker, she never expected me too. So, I look into whats going on with all of the realtors who have signed on… As Zillow leads etc that we are still paying for suddenly drop when half our agents sign on with Opcity. Turns out they will call all hours of the night with a client and expect you to be coherent and talk to a client live with them on the line, harassing the whole time. Then most of these “qualified leads” aren’t qualified after all! They often can never follow through with the purchase because they lack funding. Ridiculous. Nobody gets a client for life when they are harassed like that. They go elsewhere.

  2. I have been using Opcity for approximately 3 years and have converted about 5% of the leads which is about average. The best thing about this program is that there are no upfront costs…you simply pay them at closing. Working at a low cost, flat fee brokerage, it just makes sense for me. The overall quality of the leads is on a par with Realtor.com, Zillow, etc. If you look at them as just another tool in your Realtor tool box, you’ll be fine.
