I have lived in Greenpoint for many years and i am sad to have to write this review. After much research i have finally found the truth.
This real estate company is the same owners/employees as Miron Properties on 982 Manhattan ave.
Miron properties is not there anymore, Citihabitats took their location. I wonder why they left & rebranded? If you search, you will see that Miron properties has some horrible reviews with Sketchy brokers who all they care about is their broker fee.
My bad experience was with a well rehearsed realtor who i dealt with. His name shall remind nameless as he still works there. (I passed by this week and he still works there along with the other similar faces I saw when i walked into their office when it was Miron properties.) To make a long story short, he didn’t want to discuss the fee.
He said “fee is nego.” Once i found the apartment i loved, he didn’t want to nego the fee. (liar!) It was like i was at the car dealership trying to lease my first car all over again.
They find something you love and something you won’t walk away from. Lucky for me, i walked away.
I read their awful reviews before but i still decided to give them a chance. I sorta expected this but still decided to give them a try because hey, everyone makes mistakes!
I later found out that i knew a friend who was also in real estate, he told me the fee is always nego.
The fee can go as low as 1 months rent! Anyhow, be wary of these realtors. I work hard for my money and would hate for others to get ripped off too!
Spread the word people! And don’t be afraid to post your bad experiences!
