Longwood Properties is a poorly managed and unprofessional company. There were several times during my 12 month lease that we had problems that took weeks to fix.
Some of these problems included non-working fire alarms and a dysfunctional washer/dryer that took 3 weeks to fix and many many phone calls.
During this year period they also did not consider the current tenants when showing the apartment for the following year.
The notices that people were coming were often times less than a 24 hour notice and there were over 50 visits during the 12 months.
The people walking through our apartment would often times bring in the snow and dirt from outside and carry it throughout our apartment and into our bedrooms.
Additionally they would ask to show our apartment during holidays such as “Easter Sunday”.
When we were moving out, we received several emails that addressed us in unprofessional ways.
For tenants who did not cause any problems, and rarely had more than 5 people in the apartment at once, I would expect to be treated in a much fairer way.
Overall Longwood Properties is may be as pathetic as every other reality company.
They try to nickel and dime you as much as possible and are more slum lords than anything else.
The retention rate is so low that they do not care if you stay or go, and know that many people living in their apartments do not have the resources to fight for some of their money back at the end.
While I know that many people (1 or 2) reading this may just think that I am simply an unhappy tenant who just needs a reason to complain, you are right.
I am unhappy about the way that landlords (slumlords) treat tenants.
I do not suggest that you work with Longwood Properties. I do not suggest that you work with any realty company.
They will all try to screw you and most will provide below par service.
