I had a very bad experience when I engaged Jim Shaffer and his “team” to sell my home in Ferndale, Michigan. He showed up once to my house to view it and help set the price, and then I literally never saw him again.
I had no experience in selling a home and had to continually beg for information on how to proceed, how it works, and what to expect.
He delegates everything to underlings, who seemed inexperienced, and often clueless. Jim avoided my calls and never brought a single buyer to my home.
I was given very little guidance, and felt lost and stressed the whole time. I finally sought advice from other realtors so I would understand the process.
They did finally sell my home, but the process was needlessly stressful and overall a nightmare.
Jim didn’t bother to show up when I signed the final papers, and he didnt even attend the closing.
It took a week for the funds from the sold home to show up, and that took repeated calls and assistance from the buyers realtor.
The final insult is I keep getting junk mail, mass emails and invitations to his events even though I have twice requested the company to cease contact.
