Jeff Glover and Associates sold our home after an arduous six month process. Agent Amy Duncan was completely incompetent in pricing our home in downtown Plymouth located one block from their office (so one would think they would be familiar with the market there).
After four price drops we accepted a very low offer after we were told by Jeff Glover (he had taken over the listing after Amy failed to generate even one offer) that the offer we had made on the new house we wanted was accepted.
After the offer on our home was officially accepted and now legally binding we were informed that he had only gotten a verbal acceptance on our new house and that the other seller had accepted another offer.
This was in mid-July. We first started the selling process with Glover in February because we wanted to make certain that we would be moved and settled before our son’s new school year started in late August.
Jeff Glover and his associates had now made us homeless with one month to find a new home in the area to which we were moving, Of course he offered to help us find a different house but why would I assume they were more competent as a buyer’s agent than they were as a seller’s agent.
We ended up having to move into a crummy furnished apartment for two months in one city while our son started high school in a different one.
The costs incurred with having to move twice, storage unit fees, apartment rent and transportation costs were $9000.
If you factor in the difference in our original asking price that they set and what were sold for our losses jump to $89,000 and if you include the price difference of the house Glover had told us we had secured to the one we had to buy on short notice the total of our losses from our experience with Jeff Glover and associates rises to $173,000.
After all of that, I was willing to move on with our life and get past this episode but Jeff Glover and his Associates continue to send me emails and letters to promote their service to me and others I might refer.
After they sent me a set of free coasters as a Christmas gift (well, I guess I paid $173,000 for them, actually), I contacted their office and requested they they remove me from their contact lists.
I made it perfectly clear to Taylor Kerrigan that I did not want to have any contact from them in any form whatsoever.
They were unable to even manage that simple task as I received another holiday card from them yesterday.
Maybe they thought it would be funny to keep sending me stupid little calendars with Glover’s ___ face on them, but I was not amused.
I would highly recommend Jeff Glover and Associates if you are looking for someone to wipe out your savings account and squander any home equity you have accrued.
They are also very adept at completely destroying any long term plans for your future in which they are involved.
