I wanted to list my house online for better response. Hence, I listed it on byownermls.com. The owner of the site is Michael J. Smith. After few hours, I received an email from them stating that they had synced my listing with other hosts as well such as Zillow, Trulia and other sites. So, I went online to check the same. However, I did not find anything on other hosts about my listing.
I received another email from them in which they had mentioned about the incorrect mail sent me earlier about the listing. I called them to ask for the update on my listing. I should have known that they must have been ready with an excuse.
They said that it would take several days to get the information of the listing across other hosts. They said that I would be contacted by the listing agent to sign ne up with the MLS. Then only the listing would appear on other sites.
However, even after several days after our communication, no agent contacted me.
I mailed them the request for the refund as I was not ready to invest my time on something that did not work. In response, I received an email. They asked me questions regarding the address and other details of my bank account. It was written on the email that the refund would take 21 days and I should contact them only after that time period, in case I did not receive my money back.
They also asked me to mail them as they preferred emails. They provided me the working ours of the accounting departments and advised to call within that duration. They had mentioned on their website that they provide 21 days refund and I had applied way before that period.
However, till date, I have not received a penny. I mailed them a lot of times. But, they did not respond. So, I called them. But, they kept me transferring to different departments or put me on hold, if I tried to ask for justification. This was the worst customer service that I have come across till date.
When I called them, they asked me all the questions again every time. But, never gave me any reference number to the refund transaction. On their advice, I also visited my bank to check if there was any problem. But, that did not help either.
They were only eating my time and making me frustrated by their unreasonable solutions. This company is a fraud and all those who are working here, are scammers. I would never trust them again.
