I m a physically handicapped person. Before few months, I wanted to shift to a new place for rent. I took some money from a friend for the security deposit for this new place. I promised to give back all money to my friend within a short time. I approached James of blue asset management who was property manager for the letter of agreement. He told me several times the same thing the agreement copy has been mailed.
The agreement is a legal document in any case. I continuously called Charles Blumenkehl & James to ask him for the agreement letter. But after some days, he didn’t reply to any of my phone calls. I have a low income job and as per section 8, I m disabled person.
I stayed at this dirty place for 8 years. I spent heavily on the repairs of the house. When I came here, I bought a stove, water heater and a cabinet. There were cracks and holes all over the walls of the house. The bathrooms were in very poor conditions. I spent my money for making the bathroom better. The house was not even painted once in these many years.
3 floods occurred when I stayed at this place. I got no aid from landlord and even the property manager didn’t respond in such situation. Prior to some days of moving to new place, I talked with James many times to provide me 15 days time to gather all my belongings and pack all the luggages to take to a new place.
The new place where I was about to move was not yet ready for stay. I gave a letter to the landlord to for granting me 15 days to move to a new place. I agreed to leave some of my belongings in the old place and instead of that I asked for time of few days.
I was calling them many times but there was no answer from their side. Suddenly once day they sent me a letter asking me to pay the money for the damage of the sidings at that place. Some other people did the damage but the property manager blamed me for it. He knew I was not present at the spot of damage.
James also charged me wrongly with a fine for not giving prior notice of moving out of the property. They are all fraudulent persons taking fake charges in the name of security deposit and other expenses. I didn’t have a letter of agreement which made my case weak.
Beware of such fake property managers as they deceive innocent people and take advantage of their situations.
